Meebo, Technology
I just noticed that Meebo, the free all-in-one Instant Messaging/Communication website, has launched a new application. They had already had the web based one for mobile phones, then they took the step when Android came out to implement it on there and now they have released an App to the App Store.
I have downloaded it, but, I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, as my iPod Touch needs to make a stop to the Apple Store for a check on why it will not charge or connect to my computer. I am thinking about just getting a new iPod Touch, because the screen is also cracked.
As for the App, It looks really nice, it has had some really awesome reviews from what I have seen so far. Elaine from meebo made the official announcement on the blog and here is a link to the iPhone application’s page on their site. If you want to download the application right now, from the App Store, here is that link.

Blog, Meebo, TalkShoe, Update
Rob White made a blog post a little while ago about How and Why you got started podcast and I thought, why not make a blog post about how and why I got started.
When I was about 12 I was starting to really get into the Internet and Web 2.0 stuff. Podcasting was one of them. I really remember watching a podcast awhile back and then I started listening and watching more podcasts. I thought, how could I do this and how hard would it be? I had been using a web service called meebo for awhile and they had just introduced Apps and TalkShoe happened to be one of them. I found Podcaster Training and started listening to archived episodes. Then I started getting into Participating in the shows, by this time I was 13 and I started with my original show, TechCast and I have come a long way since then.

Meebo, Update, Web 2.0
Those of you that read the Blog at meebo or use the Meebo service – you would know that meebo just got a fresh new design for the meebo inside interface.
As meebo stated in their blog post,
- the background has been darkened to improve console and link readability.
- the new chrome uses fewer colors for faster loading (a section of the title-bar has 4 colors only).
- the new minimize, maximize, and close buttons are more streamlined so they don’t have too much that “click-me-now” feeling.
- the background, buttons and chrome colors all come from the same family of blues.
- icons have been reworked to use a consistent palette, so that no icon is more prominent than others.
- buttons have been updated to match the buttons introduced in the website redesign of a couple months ago.
- last but not least, new color schemes have been added: aqua, brown, carbon, red.
The day I saw this in my Preferences on Meebo Beta, It put a smile on my face! Why? Well to me, having the meebo interface how I want it to display is one of the Best Things that you can do!
For those that don’t like the flat skins.. There still are some of the Classic Skins on Meebo in your Preferences.
PS: David says that a new onyx design (v2) will be out in the near future – Stay Tuned to the Meebo Blog!
