Meebo, Technology
I just noticed that Meebo, the free all-in-one Instant Messaging/Communication website, has launched a new application. They had already had the web based one for mobile phones, then they took the step when Android came out to implement it on there and now they have released an App to the App Store.
I have downloaded it, but, I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, as my iPod Touch needs to make a stop to the Apple Store for a check on why it will not charge or connect to my computer. I am thinking about just getting a new iPod Touch, because the screen is also cracked.
As for the App, It looks really nice, it has had some really awesome reviews from what I have seen so far. Elaine from meebo made the official announcement on the blog and here is a link to the iPhone application’s page on their site. If you want to download the application right now, from the App Store, here is that link.

TalkShoe, Technology
January 31st, 2009 was my final day as Support Specialist at TalkShoe. I’ve had an amazing time at TalkShoe and I have really gained a lot as an employee of an internet company.
It was great to get to work with every one of the TalkShoe Users and TalkShoe Staff. Working with the staff at TalkShoe was great, they were all great to me and I’ve enjoyed my stay as Support Specialist at TalkShoe.
I am moving on to pursue more opportunities in my life, things like the musical/drama and Science Olympiad at my school; and volunteering around my community as I always have done. Although I am leaving the company as an Employee, I am staying a user and TalkShoe community member.
Update: For those that emailed in, yes – I would be willing to work with Dave again in the future!

Blog, Meebo, TalkShoe, Update
Rob White made a blog post a little while ago about How and Why you got started podcast and I thought, why not make a blog post about how and why I got started.
When I was about 12 I was starting to really get into the Internet and Web 2.0 stuff. Podcasting was one of them. I really remember watching a podcast awhile back and then I started listening and watching more podcasts. I thought, how could I do this and how hard would it be? I had been using a web service called meebo for awhile and they had just introduced Apps and TalkShoe happened to be one of them. I found Podcaster Training and started listening to archived episodes. Then I started getting into Participating in the shows, by this time I was 13 and I started with my original show, TechCast and I have come a long way since then.

Wetpaint Wikis
On Monday, August 25th, Wetpaint released changes to the email notifications. They’re awesome, they make your email notifications look more like your website! Don’t get tricked into thinking you are looking at your wiki on Wetpaint!
This includes a change in what the subject looks like as well, making it more descriptive! From what I understand, this ensures that emails actually make it to every member’s inbox.
Give Wetpaint some feedback on Wetpaint Central and Great job Wetpaint Developers and the rest of the Team!

Technology, Update, Web 2.0
After several weeks off the air. I have decided what to do with TechCast, it’ll have a new name. Although, My plan is to setup a few (2-4) segments for the show along with a main (monthly) part where I and sometimes I’ll bring others on, will talk about Tech news, new gadgets, I’ll review products and I’ll even bring on other to be interviewed. I’ve already got one person as a Segmenter. If you are interested, drop me a line.
If you were wondering, “Is this prerecorded or live?”, Well as of right now, it’ll be prerecorded and at sometime I might bring it back to live. Just want to see how to do this and how well it will work this way, first.
I’ll be talking with Ben (the original co-host) and see if he can keep his part going with a Mac Segment for the show, as well. This new version of “TechCast” should be ready to launch by late July or early August. I can’t wait. I’ll keep you updated, the RSS will be on Feedburner.
Thanks for being a part of the community. We’ll keep you updated with all of the details.
