Christmas Break Finally Here!

December 23rd, 2008  |  Published in Holidays, Life, School

After 4 weeks of waiting for the next major break of the year, it is finally here!

Here is a little low down of what has happened with me over the past few weeks. The biggest news was that I made it to the Cast of our Spring musical at School, “Alice in Wonderland” and I am glad I made it as I said in the post about me making it. Along with that I have been working on my computer that I rarely ever use anymore and I am turning it into a Linux Webserver, details on that will come soon. Turns out, not as much has happened since last breaks, but thats always okay.

I am off from school until January 5th and I am glad! — Well, thats it for this post; I’ll have a new writing piece regarding a Christmas murder on the “NCIO Series” sometime right after Christmas.

Thanksgiving is here, the holiday that people eat lots of good food and spend time with their Family members.

Thanksgiving is known as the time for a gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday feast. Usually, in the United States there is parades, spending time with family, football games and people eating large meals.

The first recorded Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Dinner was recorded on September 8th, 1565. At which time 600 Spanish settlers landed at what is now St. Augustine, Florida, and immediately held a Mass of Thanksgiving for their safe delivery to the New World; there followed a feast and celebration. As the La Florida colony did become part of the United States, this can be classified as the first Thanksgiving.
